Bhil art at the Delhi Magic office

Six months ago I visited Indira Gandhi's Rashtriya Manav Sangrahala in Bhopal, India's finest tribal art museum. When I met Ram Singh Bahabora, himself an artist, I admired his work in Behil's art room. We talked and finally I convinced him to come to Delhi and paint in our office.

Ram Singh Bahabor hails from the multi-tribal Chabua district of Madhya Pradesh. His work has been exhibited in many renowned state museums and public art galleries such as Manav Sanghralay in Bhopal, Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal and the Tribal Museum in Mysore. He has also exhibited his work in Dehradun and Bhubaneswar. He is actually the grandson of the famous painter Bhil Buri Bai. Ram Singh has been interested in painting since childhood and has been painting on canvas since 2010.

Here are some photos of work in our offices.
Each image is made up of thousands of dots that create different patterns. The dots are arranged to create images of animals, trees, birds, gods, daily life and mythology.

I can't wait to see what he does next. I think it will take at least a day.
