A working lunch

Whenever we want to have a delicious Punjabi meal, my colleague Ranjit and I usually go to Cozy's. It is located in Huaz Khas near our office in Shahpur Jat and is very convenient.

Cozy - typical cheap environment - gray interior, simple furniture, standard appliances - where they cook great food at an average price. The menu is what you would expect; It has all the usual Punjabi suspects! :) As long as you don't avoid clichés, you can be sure it will be delicious.

I especially love the "Cozy Special Paneer", the creamy yet flavorful paneer that keeps me coming back to this restaurant again and again. Accompanied by a crunchy misi roti to rub, it's always a filling meal.

Do you know what I mean by "all the usual suspects from Punjab"? :) :)

On the table you can see the usual mint chutney, raita, my favorite paneer, yellow golden missi roti, creamy black daal, onion, lemon and big biryani. We usually end such a meal with tea, a fine buttermilk with ginger, chilli and coriander.

I like it comfortable because it's so no-nonsense. They are not infected with the "modern" concepts of customer service with a smile - when you enter a restaurant you get a simple hello (more like a grunt). Then a guy in a vintage shirt comes to take your order. English is not spoken here, the only working language is Hindi.

We usually have a lot of work-related things to do while we're waiting for our food. The cozy offers the perfect unobtrusive atmosphere, you can talk as much as you want without disturbing other visitors. It doesn't take long to serve the food which makes me think they have an efficient team behind them. At lunch time the restaurant is usually full.

When we finish our meal, we are in a rather relaxed state and don't really want to work. The only solution is to go back to the office and drink hot lemon tea, which our office assistant Abhi makes so good!
